Grand Master’s Telethon for Masonic Care Community Greenhouse

Suffolk DGGM presenting Brother Joe Rizzo’s chair to Grand Master on behalf of The Suffolk Masonic District Lodges for use at the Utica care facility. 3/16/2019.

Founded by the New York State Masonic Fraternity, The Masonic Care Community opened its doors in 1893 as a safe and active retirement community and home for Masons, their wives, widows and orphans.  Located on 400 acres near Utica, it is close to city services and area attractions.  In order to provide more active and therapeutic activities for the residents, the Trustees of the Masonic Hall and Home decided to construct a greenhouse for the residents and promptly organized a fundraising drive to begin the construction.

Hearing of this project, M:.W:. William M. Sardone, Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York, has decreed that a live fundraising Telethon be held on YouTube Live to assist with meeting the financial needs for the construction.

The Telethon begins on Tuesday, March 19th at 7:00 pm and all Brothers are encouraged to tune in and donate to this worthy cause.  You can access the event by going to the Grand Lodge website at www.nymasons.org and clicking on the Telethon icon.

Alternatively, donors can visit: donate.nymasons.org or call (315) 798-4940.
