Local Freemasonry in the News
I always enjoy seeing items about Freemasonry in the news and it’s particularly pleasing when it’s a local Lodge that is in the news for good reasons. The following was published in the Sayville Gazette recently.
Congratulations to the Brothers of Connetquot Lodge #838 and thank you W:. Terry for sending this to me to post.
On Monday, March 26th the Brothers of Connetquot Lodge #838 of Free & Accepted Masons in Sayville gathered together for their 2000th meeting since their Chartering in 1903. Following the meeting, in a special public ceremony, the Lodge presented the Dedicated Service Award to Brother Jon Agnes (center), which was awarded to him earlier this year by the Grand Lodge of New York of Free & Accepted Masons. The Dedicated Service Award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a Mason by the Grand Lodge of New York after nomination by his Lodge.
