The 2019 Ceremony of Investiture

This past Saturday was the annual LIPMA meeting and Ceremony of Investiture for the masters-elect of Suffolk Lodges. It was a wonderful evening of old and new friends and some distinguished visitors and speakers. I was truly humbled to be nominated and elected as the LIMPA President for 2019-2020. I only hope I can fill the shoes of our immediate Past President, RW Glenn Rubin. He has set the bar for me and I hopefully going forward.
The Investiture Ceremony was also done this evening and I wish to congratulate the Installing team, VW Bob Licata as Installing officer and those officers who took stations and places. Our Guest speaker RW Steven A. Rubin, Grand Treasurer, gave a wonderful talk to the newly invested masters and all present. We also were pleased to welcome the Sr. Grand Deacon, RW David Menegon. The District team, RW Kevin McCauley DDGM and RW Matt Dinizio SO also spoke to the Masters elect and presented pins. RW George Emmons presented the Masters elect with the red pocket square and explain the history and significance.
Of course the Masters elect who received the secrets of the chair either the first time or again, many congratulations and we hope they all are successful in their year in the East.
Finally the Potunk Lodge kitchen/bar volunteers deserve a hearty round of applause for the food to coming out days before the event to clean and get the Lodge ready for the evening’s festivities. The food was delicious (as much as I was able to get anyway) and they all worked super heard. Our cook, Bro. Keith Ferguson is a new member of Potunk Lodge, kudos Brother!
Please enjoy the images from the evening provided by W:. All Baker. Again thanks to all who step up and always make the annual event enjoyable.
