Welcome back to the Suffolk District Website
Well the Suffolk District Website took a short hiatus to recover and recoup after 8 long years in service to the District. Now it’s back and new and improved. Of course all things are never 100% from the start so if you find and error or need a correction, please just send a note to the webmaster and we’ll take care of it ASAP.
We hope you find the website easy to use and navigate and we have simplified it. There are some elements from the old site rolled in for recognition. You may still register for the site and add yourself to the mailing list (also new and improved).
Registration is open to members in good standing of any Lodge (verifiable through MORI or other app).
The idea for the make over was to KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). But I wanted to add some baked in funcationality to the site that the Brothers may find handy and useful.
So there is of course an About us closely mingled with dicovermasonry.com and a contact form, this way ether we or Grand Lodge captures them.
Of course the Events Calendar is back, with slightly different layout, instead of a normal calendar users will see a just a list in date order. Easer to navigate and if they want to know more, click on the event of interest.
Yes of course the Traveling Gavel page and locater is back. Open the page, click the gavel and the gavel’s current Lodge of residence is shown.
Suffolk District News will also be back and we expect to be sending out monthly newsletters again starting in November 2021.
Lastly a new feature is the File Manager. Once your register and login your will find this under your account on the top menu. All members will their own private file and access to A district file with handy docs and info. Current/Past Masters will have access to additional files that may be most handy to them.
Some proposed updates coming soon!
We are considering a Community event and tickets update. This update will allow user to add their own event and create tickets to those events online and sell online.
All that is required to use PayPal is an email address associated with PayPal to begin selling tickets.
The details of how this will work will be clarified soon. Suffice to say it will be a much easier experience getting tickets out to your events this way and you get paid at the time of purchase. What could be better than that.
